butterscotch pecan cheesecake

Pecans and Butterscotch have never really appealed to me, but somehow this recipe did…

I have never ever made a cheesecake before, shock horror, and so I have no idea whether or not this is going to set. Not only that, but I screwed up my oven timer melting butter for the banana cake I was making simultaneously and so I have no idea how long I baked it for. Almost Fudge Gateau

Yay I have finally crossed something off my To-Bake list!!! I found this when trawling through previous Tuesday’s with Dorie entries and it looked so good and I had everything it required!! It really is a super easy and super satisfying cake.

I used half 62% and half 72% so it was overly rich but hey thats the way I like it. The recipe is at Crazy Delicious Food. Pics after the jump.

Porsche Cake

So I got asked to make a cake for my boss at work. First they suggested a 3D Porsche, and after reading this, I decided that was a decidedly bad (read screw that no way in hell can I do that, ever) plan.  So I set about making a Porsche crest from fondant and icing.

Rhubarb Big Crumb Cake

I have been put off updating because my new camera hasn’t arrived yet and I am sooo uninspired to take photos. Oh well – here goes – excuse the crappy photos. I found this recipe from the amazing [Smitten Kitchen]. I have made it twice now, last time on Wednesday and again today, and it is just so darn good.
