Hi Laura--

Carla here from The Paleo Gourmet. Thanks for the comment--I've totally neglected my blog, but I'm planning on a relaunch in the next few months. Anyway, glad you like the recipe--it is crazy good, isn't it? (and even better, somehow, made as mini-muffins)--and thanks for spreading the word. (Or calories, as the case may be.)

Be well and keep knitting--that cable afghan is a thing of beauty. : )

Hi! I could not agree with you more. So many of the high chairs out there are big hunks of plastic and look more like car seats or space stations than a place where you would want to sit and eat. I thought about the Ikea one, but came up with a different solution altogether. Check it out: http://www.milk-milk-lemonade.com/?p=46 These are typical in restaurants here in the US. Glad you found something that works, too!

Hello, Lovely!
I know just what you mean about being annoyed with yourself for not having a good diet... knowing it's not a good diet, but carrying on with the wrong diet anyway; I felt exactly the same a while back. The problem I have with refined carbohydrates - specifically sugar, for me - is that the more I have, the more I want. For me, a piece of cake isn't enough, I'm not really happy unless I've eaten so much that I feel a bit sick. So cutting it back a lot was the best thing for me, and I did feel like I had better energy levels and a more even mood after cutting out sugar. I wish that I could just have it sometimes and not worry about it though. I feel like that would be a more 'healthy' relationship with sugar.
The other thing that's worked for me is to keep up the exercise. I've found I've put on a bit of weight over the summer because I've not done as much exercise with the boys around all the time. So, when Luke starts school I'm going to get my beloved bike out come rain or shine!
I think you're an amazing person, and I'm sure you're going to get where you want to be, in the way you want to do it. You go, girl! xx
